ALLEGED DRUG DEALER BUSTED IN NOORDWYK

An alleged drug dealer was arrested in Noordwyk during a joint operation by the police, community policing forums and security companies on 19 April.

The man was arrested after large quantities of various types of drugs was allegedly found in his possession.

Sectors 2 and 3 of the Midrand Community Policing Forum, security companies including Griffin Electronic Security Systems and ARN, and the police joined forces in this successful operation.

Warrant Officer Mmakgomo Semono from Midrand police said, “Midrand police would like to thank all  involved in the operation as this has yielded positive results in keeping these drugs off the streets. This would not have been possible without the community’s involvement.”

Details: Midrand Police Station 011 347 1600.

How can the community assist the police, who need to put an end to drugs in the community?
